With all
the obstructions I had, trees, chimneys, etc., I didn’t think it would be
possible, but you & Mick arrived and deliberated with all the accoutrements
for Satellite Divination, no problems!

FreeSat or 'Free-to-Air' Digital Satellite
TVIt's easy to receive the current range of FreeSat or
'free-to-air' (FTA) channels on the 'so-called' Sky satellite without
changing your current television set, or having to pay Sky to install a dish,
etc., or subscribe to Sky, or use a Sky digi-box and without the need of a Sky*
card! Our system is simple and inexpensive, and provides many additional
features. For instance, with the correct size dish, our receivers can also be
expanded to receive all free-to-air (FTA) transmissions from up to 35
satellites, thus providing maximum viewing opportunity without having to pay
any subscription or monthly charges.
Dish Replacement and Satellite
InstallationsIf you've got a rusty 'Sky' dish we'll
replace it with a new galvanised steel satellite dish and galvanised wall
bracket that won't rust and will last for years - if not decades. If you
require a satellite receiver installation or want maximum 'free viewing'
choice, we'll even install a multi or full motorised satellite system. In fact,
we do the lot!
Fast Dish Realignment ServiceAs we all know, storm force winds and salt can play havoc with
satellite dishes. Only a small shift - and you end up with a blank screen, or
it's rusted out and finally falls off the wall! Although dishes should be
inspected at least once a year by their owners, if your dish needs attention we
provide a fast Dish realignment Service. During the realignment we will
automatically inspect your dish to ensure its fastened correctly, bolts
tightened or replaced and hardware/coax inspected and replaced as
necessary.
Satellite Servicing & RepairsAs mentioned above, dishes should be inspected at least once a year
by their owners. But if you're not a DIY enthusiast - we'll do the job for you!
During our Satellite Servicing we will thoroughly inspect your dish, ensure its
fastened correctly, bolts tightened or replaced and hardware/coax replaced as
necessary. We will also inspect your receiver to ensure optimum performance and
make sure you're receiving all the latest available channels.
Motorised & Multi Satellite
InstallationsMost people don't seem to realise that Sky
(and the 'so-called' Sky satellite) is just a very small part of the satellite
spectrum available to viewers in most parts of Europe. In fact, Sky is
transmitted from five satellites, Eurobird 28.5°E & Astra 28.2°E.
It's because these satellites are so close together they can be picked-up on a
single fixed dish. No doubt the same one you paid Sky to install. But there's
an exciting world of viewing available from up to 35 additional
satellites for a one-off price (including installation) that costs far less
than paying the current annual subscription for Sky's 'six-mix'
package!

adviceWhilst many satellite viewers prefer a call-out to
either install, service or repair their satellite equipment, some folks are no
doubt quite capable of installing and maintaining their own equipment. However,
in such cases it often occurs that technical help and assistance is required.

Get ready for the digital switch-over in 2010
!
In 2010 all analogue TV
transmissions in the Northern Isles will cease. In order to watch television
after 2010 you'll NEED either a terrestrial freeview receiver or a
satellite dish and a digital satellite receiver. However, the choice of 'free'
stations you'll be able to view with a terrestrial digi-box will be somewhat
limited (and sometimes less when the
micro-link goes down!), as compared with the vast number of
uninterrupted channels available (even now) 'Free to Air' from a correct sized
satellite dish. Although terrestrial 'freeview' is subscription free, current
satellite 'Free to Air' channels can be easily received without any
monthly subscription. More importantly, it's not necessary to be
contracted to Sky or FreeSat or engage them to install a satellite dish or a
receiver. This is why IsleSat offers a 'third' option that can ultimately
provide many more choices for the avid viewer.
